Sales Director Luxury Lifestyle Division Dubai Jobs Vacancy in Global Human Capital Group Dubai Jobs Details:



  • English Native speaker or level C1.
  • Educated to Degree level.
  • 6-8 years’ previous sales experience at a senior level and/or experience working in a publishing role.
  • Experience working in a publishing environment, either in the role of Commercial Director, Publisher or managing the advertising sales across a portfolio of titles or working closely with an experienced Commercial Director.
  • Knowledge of the publishing, advertising and media industry in a developed market and/or in the region, with the ability to adapt and apply knowledge and experience to new market conditions.
  • A thorough understanding of the portfolio of titles and the target audience’ tastes, wants, needs, habits and preferences.
  • Experience in developing financial plans and budgets and managing resources.

Funciones / Responsabilidades

o Have a clear overview of the performance of the advertising team and help drive their performance levels.
o Explore new and existing revenue generating opportunities in order to exceed set budgets across the assigned brand groups.
o Develop strong market share through fostering and maintaining relationships with key clients and agencies.
o Lead the development of exceptional industry relationships through regular advertiser visits and profiling at relevant trade events.
o Establish relationships at G.M/C- Level with clients and agencies.

Financial performance:
o Review all criteria that can and will affect the financial performance of a brand, at the same time putting in place strategies that will ensure that high profit levels are generated against maximum revenues.
o Maintain accurate live sales forecasts at all times.
New Product Development:
o Seek out opportunities for Motivate to develop its profitability through research and development into potential launches and acquisitions both on and off-line.
o Where launch opportunities are identified the Commercial Director should develop the concept to board approval stage and beyond in line with Motivate’ s launch proposal documentation.
o Recruitment, succession planning, maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records to include monthly appraisals, holiday records and where necessary any disciplinary issues in writing, on file with HR.
o Suggest and formulate sales strategies.
o Sell advertising space across assigned brands to existing and prospective clients.
o Ensure that set targets are achieved, notably revenue, yields and meetings.
o Update CRM on a daily basis – phone calls & meeting outcomes – personally and manage the team activity.
o Develop relationships and liaise regularly with assigned as well as new advertising agencies and clients to develop sales. Ensure regular and prompt client services.
o After hours networking may be required.
o Ensure that the internal orders are raised along with official client orders on a daily basis and submitted to Ad Control before the publications are sent to press or material (digital) goes live.
o Ensure that flat plans are approved by Ad Control before magazines go to press.
o Liaise with the traffic department to ensure that orders and materials are received as per the established procedures and are logged on the system on a day - to- day basis by the team.
o Ensure that all advertisements published are of acceptable standard, ethical and abide by local laws.
o Ensure that the respective file or record of each client is updated daily on CRM as per our sales policy.
o Monitor client complaints and ensure that they are responded to, and disputes, if any, are resolved within one month
o Maintain responsibility for flat planning, dummy, traffic and credit issues.
o Provide formal and informal job training/coaching to new and existing staff wherein, inter alia, strategies, problems, sales techniques and new opportunities are discussed.
o Ensure internal sales and credit policy is adhered too.
o Attend suitable events in order to obtain leads and increase visibility in the market.
o Maintain excellent product knowledge of own and competitive titles.
o Ensure any written correspondence is of an excellent standard.
o Ensure that all reports are completed regularly and to a high standard.
o Business ethics

o Generate revenue opportunities within existing or new brand remit
o Generate and develop a strategic approach to brand extensions

Job Description

  • This role has scope for further career development within an important Media multinational company.
  • Competitive compensation: Salary range AED 35-45k fixed inclusive of basic salary (40% of total) and allowances for cost of livings (25%), accommodation (25%) and transport (10%) plus commissions on achievement of targets.
