Mid-Level Associate (3 – 4 PQE) – Construction (Dubai)
Our Middle Eastern offices have one of the region's largest construction and property practices. We are
looking for a Senior Associate to join our award winning regional construction team based in Dubai. The
firm's renowned construction dispute resolution ability means that we are well-equipped to handle litigation
and transactional work with ease. Most of the projects are on a large scale and have a high profile within the
local and international construction market.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Managing a caseload of mainly contentious construction matters
Assisting Partners with advisory work during project construction phase
Drafting and assisting with the negotiating a wide variety of building/ engineering contracts
Providing advice on warranties, guarantees and appointment documentation
Assisting Partners in delegation of work to and supervision of juniors in team
Working closely with clients and continually developing the aptitude to foster long term client
Active participation in practice group business development
We are interested in candidates with:
strong academic background and training from a recognised international firm/practice;
at least 3 year's construction experience gained at a reputable law firm with a strong reputation in
the field of construction litigation;
an ability and willingness to work on both contentious and non-contentious matters is essential;
regional experience with a focus on UAE matters is necessary; however candidates based outside
the region with previous Middle East experience should be able to demonstrate a good
understanding of international arbitration;
proven track record in taking a lead role in complex and high $ value litigation;
a real interest in marketing/business development and the ability to foster long term relationships;
a willingness to assume responsibility and take a pro-active and commercial approach to issues;
a genuine interest in marketing/ business development;
an ability to work in a team and autonomously;

drive, enthusiasm and flexibility.
